The Wishing Well - Le Hoal Linh, Nguyen Giang Huy, Bul Huong Tra

Our group is a little bit different, as we all come from Vietnam and again meet each other here in this project. We decided to recall our stories and find the intersection in each path. We all related to our own experience having been living in Vietnam, studying in the Vietnam University of Fine Art, the visualized it as the Real or Unreal, along with some chaos and naivety in our life. We combined together different material to create a piece that brings memories to real experience. All we want is to express ourselves.

The ability to survive and exist of each living being is extraordinary. With a bit of chaos, along with naivety, we create something called Memory. The well is an existing place for all kind of living things, literally or figuratively, especially, even memories. The well has been the main water resource in many villages, living areas in many generations. Nowadays, the water resource is contaminated by all means of human exploitation of the environment. The water vein runs in our lives, along with it, our memories live… The memories we used to drink. The pure water, pulling close together by the well.
